Arunachal Pradesh means “Land of the Dawn-Lit Mountains”. Rising from the tropically lush valleys of the Brahmaputra River, surrounded by the serried ridges and the peaks of the Eastern Himalayas, Arunachal Pradesh is the first land to be kissed by the rays of the morning sun, thus has the name “The Land of Rising Sun”. It is the remotest outpost of the North Eastern states, covered by mysterious, unspoiled loveliness entices of verdant valleys, misty mountain peaks, swift rivers and the finest sanctuary for some of India’s most endangered flora and fauna.. Arunachal Pradesh is a beautiful remote state with its haunting beauty and magical charm, lures the visitor to imbibe of its natural beauty, tribal culture, craft traditions and splendid wildlife. Ziro is one of the prettiest hill-stations of Arunachal Pradesh. It is the home of the Apatani tribe and is surrounded by pine and bamboo forests, interspersed by terraced paddy fields. The River Kele flows through the valley. Visit the Tarin Fish Farm run by the local people whose main livelihood is agriculture and fishing. Shop for handicrafts and colourful shawls and textiles woven by the tribals.

Day 01 : GUWAHATI – ECO CAMP

(DRIVE FROM GUWAHATI TO ECO CAMP-220 / 6 HRS)

Meet and assist by Jungle Travels Staff on arrival at Guwahati Airport and transfer to Eco Camp, near the Assam Arunachal Pradesh border. Evening, walk on the banks of river Bhorelli that flows near to your camp. (Eco camp has comfortable double bedded tents with a thatched roof canopy). Come back to the camp at dusk.
Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : ECO CAMP – ZIRO

(DRIVE FROM ECO CAMP TO ZERO-300KMS / 7 HRS)

Today we will set off for Ziro early in the morning. Before reaching Ziro we will stop at a village inhabited by NISHI tribes. Lunch on the way. Check into hotel Blue Pine on arrival. “Ziro is a small picturesque and beautiful destination filled with villages surrounded by Pine and Bamboo groves. Evening visit to market. Return to hotel.

Day 03 : ZIRO

(Havelock Island is 54 kms from Port Blair; it takes approx 4 hrs to reach the island).After breakfast, whole day at Ziro visiting Apatani tribal villages. These are very traditional and therefore very interesting tribes. Only upon visiting their villages we can fully appreciate how they have managed to preserve their way of life over all these years. They are still in harmony with their surroundings and with nature unlike their ilk in the cities. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is tattooing on the face by the women folk and the nose plug.
Over night stay at the hotel.

Day 4 : ZIRO – DAPORIJO

(DRIVE FROM ZIRO TO DAPORIJO-172 KMS / 6 HRS)

Drive to Daporijo. Enroute visit more villages of the Nyishi, Hill Miri and Tagin tribes. Daporijo, located at an altitude of 600 m above sea level is headquarters of the Upper Subansiri district. The region is dominated by the tribes of the Tagin, Hill Miri and the Adi Gallong. Daporijo lies on the right bank of the Subansiri River. The surrounding regions are dotted with colourful villages as well as some interesting caves.Check into the village guest house on arrival.

Day 5 : DAPORIJO – ALONG

(DRIVE FROM DAPORIJO TO ALONG-150 KMS / 5 HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Along. Along is a valley and is extremely beautiful as far the scenic grandeur of this place is concerned. It has mountains all around with two rivers flowing through it – the Sipu and Siyom. ‘Adi Galong’ is the major tribe of this area. Enroute visit Adi tribal villages of Tapi and Tribin houses in these villages are artistically built on the hill slop, most of them being built without using nails but only from bamboo and cane. On arrival check into hotel. In the evening visit to the Museum and the local market.
After visit return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6 : ALONG

After breakfast walk around nearby Darka Village – one of the largest Adi (Gallong) tribal villages. Later visit the Kabu village, 4 kms away, on the river bank bank. Walk around the village, meet and experience their life style. From here we can go for a short trek to another nearby village, Paya. Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch visit another village of Miniyong Adi tribe. Back to hotel by late afternoon.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 : ALONG – PASIGHAT

(DRIVE FROM ALONG TO PASIGHAT-160 KMS / 5 HRS)

AWe are going to Pasighat today. Visit more villages on the way. The oldest town of Arunachal Pradesh. The town was established in 1911 by the British. It is the headquarter of the East Siang district. Due to its ‘strategic’ situation where the Siang leaves the mountains, Pasighat has been often called the gateway to the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Pasighat is situated on the banks of the river Siang and is at a height of 152 m. from the sea level. It’s population is almost 23,000. On arrival we check into Hotel Oman. Evening sightseeing of Pasighat town.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 : PASIGHAT – DIBRUGARH

(DRIVE FROM PASIGHAT TO DRBRUGARH – 100 KMS / 3 HRS PLUS 1 HRS IN FERRY)

After breakfast we start our journey to Dibrugarh. Along the way we will cross the mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry. Check into Hotel Little Paradise/ Mancotta heritage Bungalow. Evening walk around Dibrugarh town.
Dinner and overnight..

Day 9 : AIRPORT TRANSFER

After breakfast transfer to Dibrugarh airport to catch out going flight.
